CENTRAL HALL WESTMINSTER COMPLETE CHV PROGRAMME AND REFOCUSES ON LONDON VENUE

Central Hall Westminster (CHW) is turning its attention to the next phase of its strategic development following the successful completion of its guidance programme delivered through Central Hall Venues (CHV). The programme has seen Nicolson Square Edinburgh and St Saviourgate York transition to independent operation, marking a key milestone for the support network.

Established in 2019, Central Hall Venues was created to provide professional management support, operational guidance and marketing expertise to Methodist venues across the UK. With the completion of the Edinburgh and York transitions, CHW is now refocusing its efforts on strengthening and developing its London venue as part of its long-term strategy and in response to ongoing demand from the London meetings and events market.

The transition process began in December 2024, when Nicolson Square Edinburgh completed its move to independent management under new leadership. This was followed in November 2025 by St Saviourgate York, completing CHV’s planned support for both venues and enabling each to operate independently while maintaining their community focus.

Sarah Franczak, Chief Operating Officer at Central Hall Westminster, said:

“We are proud of what has been achieved alongside the teams in Edinburgh and York. These transitions reflect the core purpose of Central Hall Venues — to support Methodist venues in building the capability and confidence needed to operate independently, while continuing to serve their local communities. As this phase concludes, our focus now turns fully to the continued development of Central Hall Westminster and its role within London’s meetings and events industry.”

The announcement comes during a period of continued investment at Central Hall Westminster. Recent developments include the opening of the newly located Wesley Café and the creation of the Wesley Suite, forming part of a wider programme aimed at enhancing the visitor and delegate experience. These improvements also support CHW’s positioning as the largest heritage venue in Westminster.
